Further layoffs this month, aka end of month clean up as company struggles to secure business on TPA side. 2 major clients took business in-house and then another BD fail apart last week. Sh-t show continues

I was a victim of the most recent round. I'm happy (I guess) for those who got to keep their jobs, but top performers were let go in order to keep objectively poor performers on. I won't pontificate as to why, but most likely based on salary and quotas.
Mostly, it was a relief to get out of there. It was impossible to make progress on OKRs due to poor performance by leadership and objectively ridiculous financial performance assumptions that a fifth grader should have known would never come to fruition. Then again, what do you expect from a company that can't figure out how to turn a profit? When the company expresses success as having lost marginally less money than it projected, you know you're in for a bad experience.
