The boss had the nerve to complain to our team about the low employee experience scores we gave them. He even said he disagreed with some of our responses. Why bother looking at the results if you are not going make some attempt to be humble or curious about experiences that could be different than your own? Have some self awareness, man. What a waste of time.

@lzew+1nm9Z34h - Not directly, but it likely impacts their MAP rating. A few years ago, I got dinged on my MAP review because of lower engagement scores from the survey. My scores showed that my team appreciated me as a manager but didn't trust the larger org. Considering we had three rounds of layoffs impact our team directly that year, I can't imagine why they didn't trust the org.... apparently I was supposed to try to get them to drink the kool-aid. Sorry, I valued my team too much to lie to them.
I can confirm with certainty that there are no monetary rewards to management for 100% participation in the employee surveys.
Like others have stated, I stopped taking them years ago. A previous manager said our merit increases were tied to favorable results. My current manager never goes over the results. He always said we will at the beginning of our weekly status meetings but somehow we always conveniently run out of time. Pointless!
Do don't do them, because my supervisor was saying I was on list that said I hadn't done the survey yet. That isn't anonymous. They know who says what and who does the survey. Don't do it, it is a trap.
I stopped doing them years ago when my Director called town hall meetings just to tell us how he wants us to answer. It was wrong to do but just one of many ways he has stuck his foot in his mouth over the years. I take his directives because that’s my job but I have little respect for him technically or his character. It’s the good old boys MN network at work, so negative truthful feedback which they can trace or silence??
Best not to take the survey. Managers get a bonus if 100% of their team takes the survey. Sc--w them.
Our Director established an objective for Managers to ensure favorable survey results, implying that our previous scores were a reflection of our inadequate team management. This approach disregards any wrongdoing on their part and instead places the blame solely on us.
Those surveys are worthless. They are to satisfy regulatory requirements only. So if you take them you are actually helping them sc--w you. The only way to bring anything to anyone attention is to the whole company stop taking them and the fail.
i think it does more damage by not taking it. i decided not to take it this year, for the first time.
