Hi, is it known what is the business situation of the VMC - VMWare on Amazon cloud activity in Europe. Is it worth joining the sales force of this very specific and narrow activity at this stage? The salary offered sounds tempting but I have no information about meeting the goals and challenges. Thanks in advance, Andy

I don’t know why people are saying the money is good in this role. Revenue growth counts for 50% of the commission and chances of hitting that target are slim to none. Quotas have been set very high as well and the teams are not making these goals despite huge growth. Do more due diligence before accepting this role.
Don't accept. The performance of the EU teas with VMC are poor.
It’s the sweet spot in the portfolio for customers with one foot on legacy and the other on the future. Particularly with the gravy perpetual vSphere license renewals coming to an end. VMC is a perfect spot for a bridge.
Leadership of that team in EMEA generally considered to be good - I’m not in that team myself but have worked for the VP before and would do so again without hesitation. I agree with what others have said about the ability to earn, but personally I’d also want to know that I’m going to be well treated and I think that box is ticked too, so I’d say go for it. Nobody knows what will happen post-acquisition so I don’t think that can play a credible part in your decision making criteria. Good luck!
The VMC on AWS people in my field area are ki-ling it, it's like taking orders with very little hard selling to do. However, it's a gravy train that will eventually run out as renewals takes over.
Yes I recommend joining. The value prop for moving on prem VMware to VMC on A is clear. Soon enough it will be the defacto as BC move to subscription only. The last guys comment knows f all about this business.
Don't think this activity will survive Mr. H.Tan due-diligence profit createria.
But job is a job...
You will make good money on commission. Don’t let this golden egg go.
Yes, its a easy sale on AWS platform, performance are nice, and money is good. You will be connected to many AWS sales and support teams, so potentially your chances to find job at AWS, after the BCOM merge are better.
