Nielsen was bloated as they were afraid of their HR team. Managers would brag about the low turnover and everyone knew that this was due to their fear of performance managing the low producers.

Nielsen is like any large global company and they will do what is needed to please the major shareholders.

Very inaccurate.
I worked at Nielsen for 7 years and all this growth/carrer/evolution is just corporate bullsh-t . The only thing you're going to gain is frustration. Don't lose your time to work there!

I gave them everything I had, did and would do anything they asked - but they laid me off and didn't even offer an alternative position possibility. It's not the company it used to be sadly.

Nielsen had 40K employees about 10 years ago. Now it is down to 14K do anyone really want to join a company on this trajectory????
