Layoffs for hourly employees to be announced the second week of July.
Any news on this? Is this still happening? I'm going to assume based on upvotes that there was some concrete info behind it, and it was not just somebody throwing around baseless rumors. I was just wondering if anything else came to light since then.

Heard that they're doing inventory this week. Or was is next week? Either way, we'll see what unfolds.
It was reported here back in May that there would be a July 4th week shutdown in North Carolina followed by layoffs of floor workers. No one paid it much heed, but here we are and July 4th week plants will be shut down. That leads me to believe that the person who posted that information in May knew what they were talking about.
