Thread regarding Accenture layoffs

I want out

I want out but I can't muster enough energy to look for a new job. I'm burnt out and all I want to do when I am done with work is sleep. That's what Accenture has done to me. I am now hoping to be laid off. Maybe that will give me the energy jolt I need, in more than one way.

Get out while you can! The current business model all but guarantees no promotion unless you’re on somebody’s “teacher pet” list. Want to stay and move to the next level? Get off your a-s and grind that sh-t (I’m being facetious; I gather you’re already burned beyond capacity).

Accenture has a way of grinding through people. It's one big pyramid scheme with a handful of people at the top reaping the rewards.

I worked for the company at one time in Accenture Technology Consulting and was relieved when I found another position outside Accenture.

For what you're saying it doesn't sound like much has changed over the years.

The best way to get laid off is to hit the bench and not get hired for a new role. I’m 3 or so weeks you will most likely get laid off.
