Any rumors or news of upcoming layoffs? June, July, etc?

Layoffs are expected for RNs in prior, concurrent and post services auth.
More automation means fewer clinical staff needed.
Optum board indicating some layoffs taking place 7/27 with release date of 8/24 and a big round in September.
It’s really unfortunate for layoffs to happen. But idk who needs to hear this. Don’t feel discouraged. Keep your resume updated. If it does happen, don’t lose confidence about finding another job. You done it before. You can do it again. I know that weight feeling of lack of job security can affect your focus in work. Since they cut my supervisor back in Jan. 2023, I’ve always wonder who will be next myself. But just know, it is happening across many industries even outside of UHC. There is more to life just outside of UHC. And more opportunities even if you are next on the chopping board. Don’t let it make you feel anxious. I’ll read post here time to time just for any updated news. But, I am prepared for anything. Bring it. I’ll just update my resume, and tackle this job market. And just know if one door closes then another is meant to open up for you.
Leaders are waiting till after the Earnings call in July, my guess layoffs next wave is Thurs July 27.
