Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Raghu's BS

"Leaders are only leaving because of career progression, not because of anything related to the Broadcom fiasco. Now shut up, and focus on the main thing!"

bcom already has a CFO and there can only be one.”

Well thank you captain obvious. And the same applies to many positions, hey , there can only be one CEO.

So he said something completely obvious - not an example of leadship - and ignores that many many other senior people have left because they don’t want to work at Broadcom. Great guy. Definitely worth the $50 million change in control payout.

Can we start a fund to give him even more, because with these pearls of wisdom there is nothing to stop us!

Mr. Magoo can go F himself for Fs sake.

I have to disagree. Like someone said earlier on this thread, Raghu couldn’t have been more upfront about Zane leaving due to Broadcom. He outright said “bcom already has a CFO and there can only be one.”

Why make excuses for the man? He could lead better even in this situation where he is constrained.

Now back to the main thing… I love the main thing.

FFS people need to get realistic here…. We are being acquired… of course Raghu isn’t going to talk freely and de-stabilise things further (in fact legally he wont be able to) - he has to play a party line here… he has one job to do and that is to see this through to completion with as little disruption as possible and let the changes come when there is new leadership calling the shots…

Is Raghu an inspiring CEO - no but its also fair to say anyone in his position would be operating with 2 hands tied behind their back. Not sure what more anyone realistically expects from Raghu right now - if he was talking more it would all just be shot down on here anyway no matter what he says…

Focus on the main things: PRIDE, DEI, Climate.

When has he said this, and in what context - specifically has another SVP resigned this week?

Aw man, I was so hoping for a gotya moment- we got him!!! Such lies…

Folks, IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT HE SAYS!

He is Mr. Magoo, a puppet installed by Dell to do his bidding, blindly walking around and spouting drivel.

Oh, Magoo, you’ve done it again!

Did he seriously say that???? If he did then he’s delusional and needs a reality check or he’s a stone faced lier and then there is no way we can trust anything that he says.

VMware really only has one product - a HYPERVISOR. Anything outside of that is smoke and mirrors that dupes customers into believing the company is more than that.

Ultimately there is a line to tow at that level until the acquisition goes through... if you can't grasp that and are actually taking any notice, that's on you.

All of this was obviously going to happen, all a case of when ... Ride out the wave... Focus on you. You need it.

Uh, he literally said the opposite in the meeting about Zane.

That Zane was CFO, Broadcom already has a CFO they like, and there can be only one. So Zane had to leave.

Raghu has been talking about our products not working together for years and saying we only sell one product. Yet, he's yet to do anything to fix it, despite having all the power to do so, when he was CTO and now CEO.
