This so called CEO of barely two years, makes more in a MONTH, yes a month than an employee makes in a lifetime...have that SINK in. Stock has gone to $30, lawsuit after lawsuit..billions being paid out, bad press non stop, sales gone done, corporate and store employee cuts, you here NOTHING from this CEO......all in a little over TWO years. The board of directors do nothing about it and keep this CEO, with a record like that in two years, NOW why would that be that they do not make a change.

The meaningless, non-impactful positives highlighted this year will be red drum dances, photo shoots, and shoe/belt coordination.

It should be interesting to see the results of the annual employee engagement survey. I wonder what meaningless, non-impactful positives will be highlighted this year.

So now this disaster of a CEO and her court jesters are closing a DC downstate, causing 400 people to lose their jobs and livelihoods, most after many years of service. But she’s still getting a $24 Million Bonus. For what? Crippling a respected, mainstay business in record time? Apparently, she and she alone will decide when she goes, regardless of performance or lack thereof. It sure seems she can stay as long as she likes no matter her disastrous results.
Nothing short of catastrophic.

Every thing Charles R Walgreen spent decades -a lifetime- building, followed by his son and then his grandson, destroyed in a mere 26 months.
And the Board idly sits by, watching it happen.

Sorry, buy WBA was riding the Covid wave on huge profits when Brewer came in. And just like a football coach who racks up wins for a couple seasons w the team another dude recruited and then fizzles, so too has she.
Numbers don’t lie and facts don’t care about feelings. The stock was at $59 a share when she came in; in 23 short mths of the Brewer regime it had lost 40% of its value. Incompetent at best, she and her unqualified-to-embarrassing band of buddies have crippled a Fortune 20, once great, Made in America company in record time.
Disgusting.

To be honest, Walgreens was an excr-ment show before Roz took the helm. Years of shabby treatment of "team members" resulted in a demoralized work force. Low pay, garbage benefits and Covid conspired to make things worse. Sure, Covid vaccines were a cash cow for Walgreens but only added to the stress of an already over-taxed work force. When vaccinations declined, the income went with it. It was also noted that a decline in SNAP benefits contributed to a decline in revenue. Resumption of student loan payments may contribute to future declines as well. I was not aware we rely on SNAP benefits and loan forgiveness for income streams. As was mentioned in another post, razor-thin reimbursements for prescriptions makes for a tough business environment. Dr-g shortages make things difficult as well. For Walgreen's part, much of our technology we use to serve the customer is lacking. Instead of investing in new technology, we are forced to use work-arounds and/or time-consuming "fixes" to complete numerous tasks.
It will be interesting to see what additional cost-cutting will result from this earnings miss. So far, it was announced that Walgreens will be closing 150 stores in the U.S.

Roz only seems to talk to a few people and that’s a huge problem. And newsflash - the people she’s brought in at top management are seriously subpar. Fake cheerleader and drummer Tracey, GC Danielle who doesn’t seem to get any wins for company reputation, Holly the politician/who has no HR skills but is ki-ling it on LinkedIn, the lady they brought in to make a WAG credit card business (total waste of $$), the IT nightmare — cr-p I could go on…..but I have to get back to work and pretend I’m ok.

Hey now… that’s Executive Vice Cheerleader to you!!!!📣🤡😂
Are we allowed yet to talk about a Chief Information Officer who can barely string together an intelligible sentence in English, spoken or written???
Probably not… fits the RB total trainwreck, completely unqualified, BFF hiring model.
I hear there’s a Master Class on that… w a DJ!!!
Carry on, SinkingShipOrchestra!!! 🎼🎻

Ha! That is hilarious! Yeah Roz’s head cheerleader hire Tracey Brown is a joke. Rah-rah you’ve only made it worse. And Holly May her friend from Starbucks who was given a job she has no experience in doing. Fire people who know what they’re doing and promote and bring in people for more $$ who don’t have a clue what they’re doing. Lipstick on pigs.

Well she did have time to make a master class series - nice to know she had time to do that. Yeah and encouraged employees to buy it - watch 1 buy the rest. Some BS. She has been a self promoter that is all. She has done nothing good for Walgreens but she checked a big diversity box when they hired her. Top management sucks.

she has done nothing, what a disgrace. She should have been gone a year ago. What does she do every day, does anyone ever ask. Stock tanking, bad press nearly daily, yet the board keeps her. It's very embarrassing, talk about an overpaid do nothing.

I'm guessing Roz didn't realize all the negatives regarding Walgreens when she took the job (soul-sucking company culture coupled with ever present cost-cutting initiatives resulting in a disengaged and high turnover workforce, numerous costly opi--d settlements, and outdated, unreliable technology to name a few).

She hired a lot of her friends so she is doing things her way. Unfortunately I don’t think her friends are helping her much.

Stephano is still the chairman and hired her, I bet everything major she's done is under his direction.

Stock is down 40% since she started in March 2021. She was propped up in the press like she was some kind of miracle worker - so fantastic. She got accolades before she even did anything. And here we are 2 years later. A $25 million sign on bonus for her. But big losses for shareholders. What gives?
