We were told by HR that we are okay to keep office phone and port the number. I don’t needed number but wanted to keep the phone. But any password I tried for the apple ID, it is not taking at all. While trying to recover password, it ask for phone number. You will not get sms or code since they already canceled the number. Next it ask to send in email which is office email and we do not have access to. Then lastly it ask for credit card info which would be office card and that is also cancelled by now. While contacting CommScope IT, they removed remote management but phone cannot be factory reset. Does anyone know any other options?

I ported my number with no issue. I kept my number since I canceled my personal service years ago and had pw recovery set to that number. It would have probably easier for you to port the number and then give up the number for your own.
