Another company/board. Current employer will only promote the relocatable candidate. If you want to stay at a single refinery, you are worth nothing and capped after 5-7 years. Curious if the P66, Valeros and Exxons of the world are the same. Two employees apply for a job - whoever the relocatable one is, automatically wins. Morale tanking across the plant. Post-Covid, relocation is not something near as many want. Oil and gas seems stuck in the archaic belief that you have to move to be promoted?

Depends on the day of the week whether they promote locally or not. We see it both ways.
