correction
mansfield,ma not woburn-although woburn had some layoffs
CA facility is bakersfield
dont remeber the 3rd one
in my facility volume is down 50% and the warehouse is 2/3 empty
i dont think these closures are the end of it.
the current "transportation focus" will likely reduce the number of trucks and drivers as we are currently shipping them out with less than half a load(and burning up a lot of diesel to do it)
also no one has mentioned the annual increases that are supposed to be taking effect next week. I wonder if that is about to be pushed back.
