Intel is building the fab before the products to sell. It's a lot of hope that things will work out.

If they're hoping to sell chiplets to russia, a country that labels neighbors they don't completely control te------t states, it maybe better to start a new company.

Are we gonna tell spies what customers Intel will have? No!
You can just think about all top chip designers will use Intel made chips.

Intel isn't tripling it's manufacturing capacity... It is all smoke and mirrors...

All that it has are 'future' site locations, paved parking lots and empty shell buildings...

You don't count manufacturing capacity until the expensive equipment is actually purchased and installed.

So many d-mb people read these headlines and don't understand how the build out actually occurs.

another white Elephant in the pipeline , third in a week now . Headline stories to distract from a complete lack of customers in foundry.

Here is the problem: if Intel already has whale customers lined up, are they gonna let us know until starting to deliver the chips?
Do you really think Intel is tripling it’s chips MFG capa without customer commitment?

On the last earnings call the CFO was very clear... all of these fabs will just stay as shell buildings until demand for IFS actually materializes..

So, herein lies the problem... The IFS moonshot customers will want to actually see a fab line up and running and a guarantee of capacity from the upstart Intel... but, the company doesn't have the cash flows to be able to build the fab in advance of the business...

And in today's economic environment the cost of capital is much higher... and politically, the US is now broke (as is the rest of the world) so forget about any sustainable investments... don't forget tax breaks are not cash up front, they are reduction of future tax obligations -- .not. cash flow to help fund the fabs.

All of the bold projects by Intel are exciting, but follow the actually spend and listen to what the CFO says on the earnings call to separate the sh-t from Sh----a.

Nothing in the news says Intel is paying for it. The government will fund over 50% is my guess

Well that was 6 months ago. Now things obviously have changed.
Outsiders obviously will keep saying Intel has no promotion kind of rhetorics, haha

Intel can't afford to give their best employees the promotions they earned last year. They can't pay their employees their agreed upon wages or 401K contributions. They can't even afford to pay for snacks for team builders...but another $25,000,000,000 for another fab...no problem
