Thread regarding Zulily, LLC layoffs

Laid off after 8+ years, no severance

No severance, no PTO payout, still waiting on our insurance cards that they made us change… and our insurance is only good till the end of the month. Also - mass meeting lay-off call with terry’s assistant reading a script. No 1:1 with HR or able to speak to anyone.

As a creative working for Pearson for nearly 8 years, being let go via a meeting with no cameras, mic or chat capability is the epitome of corporate cowardess. Locking us out of the system 1 hour later left nearly all creatives being let go spinning. How will I get work for my portfolio while waiting for my ‘personalized’ separation documentation. Computers were literally locked down while we attempted to collect files for our portfolio. My first paycheck was wrong and still hasn’t been corrected. One leader wouldn’t even provide Mega’s address to an impacted employee (wanting to begin applying for unemployment) because they don’t like going into their home office on Saturdays.

But for the nearly 8 years I was there, we were a ‘family.’ Until we weren’t.

You should contact your state department of labor offices. Can't be reached about health insurance? No one to communicate with? How are you getting you W2s in Jan?
Is there any way to access your records?
See below about WARN. How many of you got laid off?

How many people were let go? Was there a WARN notice?

This is happening to prior Pearson employees transferred to Regent on 6/30. Layoffs expected 7/31 and throughout August. Situations like these are exactly why corporations can’t find anyone to work and we have lazy girl jobs and quiet quitting. See https://www.thelayoff.com/pearson-plc

Total garbage layoffs engineered by Regent. Affected employees were notified by an email with 10 min notice, a follow up info meeting was a prerecorded video, no severance of any kind paid, medical/dental only through the end of the month although no ID cards have been made available making it impossible to use, and no one can be reached for further explanation. Regent and Zulily should be ashamed of themselves for treating employees this way.

I'm so sorry, I was laid off last year around this time. I'll be thinking of you and l wish there was something I could say that would be helpful. It's sh---y and you didn't deserve this.
