Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

11 on 4 days off Attendance agreement

Has anybody see the 11 on 4 days off attendance agreement in effect any where yet? So 11 days on you'll work what? 6 or 7 days? and then 4 days off?

Let's elaborate on this?

Mgt said they were going to have 30 excess conductor jobs at my terminal , when they start using 11-4 schedule. Layoffs are coming . Not a good time to sign up for more debts, cars , trucks , credit card $, etc.

You’ll be working 12hrs a day ! If they get you to work 11 you’ll be working 12! Be careful what you wish for! At my service unit we don’t have enough to cover sh-t! They will force you to work 12 hrs, they know exactly what there doing with the HOS

A coworker (who uses fmla a lot) says he plans on staying on for the whole eleven, taking his 4, then laying off until his next 11 starts again. Dunno if that’ll work, but if it does more power to him.

Hasnt been implemented where I work yet. But the other non-operating crafts are being told the 11-4 is gonna cost $75 mil. Coincidentally they’ve also been told to freeze all spending. Robbing Peter to pay Paul.
