It's not that I have a lot of experience in retail, but I can say that so far I've never experienced as much backstabbing as here. Was it always like that? I don't know how to deal with so much toxicity anymore. I need this job but I have to leave this place if I want to protect my health.

Sad to hear there's others that feel the same way. Thought it was just just a North West thing.
Store six two one is a totally toxic environment and it all starts with the store leader. He seems to be out more than in, he avoids interaction with customers, shows favoritism to his pets, talks behind everyone’s back, stabs people in their backs and runs from any and all confrontation.
A leader he is not.
OP you just need to figure out who your friends are and it'll be fine.
So dramatic. Macys is actually a really good, a socially aware , company to work for. If you have issues in your store , you should bring it to someones attention.
cause Macys breeds the culture to throw each other under a bus rather than create a team that does a amazing job... the team work bs is for the gm to post on linkden as if they are doing something other than sitting in a office all day reading more useless emails from corporate
SOLUTIONS IN STORE IS A JOKE!!! Stores need to bring back HR managers to each store.
