They will not tell us anything until all the details worked out. Announcement is always the last thing they do. I think that Siva guy left has something to do with the acquisition. There is no need for him anymore and they will not pay millions of dollar just for him to do nothing. Interestingly though, the fact that he didn't wait until the merge done, and his last day was July 28th which was the effective day of the layoff announced in May, means that he was probably terminated.
Market is bad, there's for sure, but I won't be surprised if the two layoffs we had this year had more to do with house cleaning. It is just much easier to do that before the merge. Once the merge done, there'll be a lot work on consolidation and coming up with new roadmaps. With layoffs out of the way they could just focus forward.
That being said, I have my own reasons for staying. Contemplate and do some reflection to find out if you have reasons to stay or leave and make your decision. Once my reasons are no longer apply anymore, I will leave too. Good luck all!
