Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Does severance package include 100% of your pay (basic pay + incentives) or just the basic pay? Does it also include anything else?

Is any LTI paid out? Seems like it should since it is a retention incentive based plan.

How do you actively sign up for COBRA? Is an email notification sent?

Anyone already getting email from COBRA to personal mail to sign up?

Spend your designated FSA. From my experience you can spend it all on Day 1 of the insurance year and it’s repaid across the year. When I was laid off, I didn’t have to pay any of it back. If anyone knows differently, please advise.

You must actively sign on to Cobra to get the free 60 days. Then after that you are billed each month for medical. Any FSA before termination they pay. The HSA is yours to take. Cobra includes health, eye, dental and Rx.

How does the health benefits/insurance plan work when you are laid off.

Wow! That’s a lot of math! Can’t be stupid and be in sales based on that calculation!

So why is Dell letting y’all go?

For Sales is 2 months of TTC + 1 week per completed year of service.

Take your TTC (Attainment at 100%) and divide by 12 to get the 2 months value.
Then divide by 52 and multiply by your years of service.
Add the two of them and you have your Gross Severance Payout, this plus all unpaid commission from H2.

Stay safe!

Any one know what the package is? I know it's a mix of set pay periods + X weeks for years worked.

Any info is helpful!

Depends on your role and where in the world.

I was part of the February layoffs. Got my severance pay plus commission that was owed to me from January. Dell was generous with the severance amount, I will give them that. Best of luck to all.

for sales, it was total target (base + commission) in February.
