Thought that after Elliott took over, things will look up. No such signs. Still the same old management playing the smoke and mirror tricks. If Elliott is in there then they will push for a sale or major restructuring or both. Hearing rumors of oncoming restructuring in the next couple of quarters. Appears the company is circling the drain. Stay safe all.

@Fbwc+1nX4P0g5 If you still can get the job then my suggestion is to go for it if you have nothing else but keep looking. Either way IT department of Goodyear does not offer a promising career growth. Just my 0 cent’s worth.
I’m unemployed unfortunately. What is surprising they aren’t under a hiring freeze at the moment... if they need to cut SAG costs by 200+ million…

I just received a job offer for the global IT department staffed in Akron HQ, does Goodyear typically layoff “last in, first out”? Was that seen to be the case in Jan 23 layoff from the 90 head count let go in Akron HQ? Guess I might need to look else where…?
2,800 seems reasonable given that the other cut was 1,200 and netted $50M in cost savings. Elliott's presentation calls for a $227M cost savings. That would mean they need to go find a SAG savings of $177M. That would put cut somewhere around 3,500 people.
2800 in North America will indeed be a bloodbath. Wonder if that's just a rumor or if there is any truth to that. Akron will become a ghost town.

EMEA just announced 1,200. Hearing NA 2,800. It is going to be a blood bath
