No word yet for our department said they will let us know this week still nothing. They need to let us know so we can start looking for another job these bills aren’t getting cheaper

You’ll find out when the rest of us do which appears to be on 8/14. You aren’t owed continuous employment and the company isn’t owed your loyalty. Be ready at all times to jump to a better or new opportunity and don’t expect the one you’re in to last forever. Sad reality of our culture but it isn’t changing any time soon.
I guess they usually tell people on Friday with a two week notice. I may be completely wrong and I hope that does not happen on you!
