Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Optum At Home

Any rumors of layoffs within OAH? We have been on a no hire and no travel band since May because of the budget. I noticed this week that I am no longer listed under my director on the HR Employee Center site and my direct reports are missing as well from the drop down list.
I assume if I am let go, they will be assigned to someone else.
We have not been replacing those that have quit.
I have safely navigated through other lay offs so I might be up this time.

I was part of the OAH clinical staff that was expected to be “absorbed” into the LMH/OAH/Prospero merger. The management expected us all to be happy with this merger and adaptation to LMH without any input from those of us who work out in the field. While the goals and missions are similar, these three organizations are completely different in their approach and philosophy. I would not commit to moving to LMH as I felt they demanded too much of my time at the expense of family life. There is no work-life balance in that organization. My understanding is that there was actually a mass exodus of providers from Optum as a result. They are struggling to fill these gaps much to the detriment of the clients that really could have used longitudinal at home health care. Very poor insight and planning there… I guess those dollar signs mean a whole lot more to the people at the top.

I have been wondering that as well. I’m part of the Landmark acquisition.

Are you tech? OAH is going to outsource pretty much all tech.
