Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

The company will never send a communication to anyone

The company will never send a communication to anyone. They will only share the names of the people who were laid off from your immediate team and it will only happen verbally. I know this because that is how the previous layoffs were communicated and I was laid off last Thursday and colleagues that remained told me leadership (if that’s what you want to call them) from M&R held a team meeting and shared the specific names of those of us on the team who were let go.
As another person said, you will not know if someone outside of your immediate team was let go until you go to reach out to them and don’t get a response. UHG wants to remain under the radar with regard to layoffs as they do not want anyone knowing the number of people or percentage impacted.

Bumped from @ger+1nUiYkHB for info.

They claim it’s for privacy. Yet then those that remain contact RIFd employees with business as usual which puts those impacted in a terrible position. It’s disgusting. UHC culture has spiraled back to the early 2000s.
