Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Venting

going to vent here.. the layoffs announced as such brings out such competitiveness in each one of us “I’m so glad it’s not me” it was someone else or “I hope it’s that division that gets cut, not mine”

In all seriousness though, in typical CVS play they might just start announcing it on the Friday before the weekend - that was always the case during thanksgiving culling..

My CVS has about 20 kids in the pharmacy who are playing on their phones as the lines inside and outside build up.

The CVS store by my house across the street from the Walgreens is dead all the time. Then there's 2 more in a 5 mile radius. Insane. Thanks for getting your vaccine probably bought some time.

I too feel that this is just the beginning of layoffs. There could be more in store. Not sure how is the project work for this year and next year.

Having employees wait for weeks worrying about their jobs is a poor way to handle layoffs. Why purposely cause emotional turmoil, stress to 200K+ employees. Lack of empathy for employees and arrogance of power. Shows the true nature of CVS C Level execs. CVS Heart at work Behaviors not applicable to senior management? Execs in country’s largest health care organization cause adverse health conditions for their own employees.

In a prior thread someone mentioned that there will be more layoffs this November and next March. Not sure the validity of it

I believe they said 8 more days because the layoffs will be continuing through August 14th. That is the last day of layoffs prior to the upcoming November layoff

It's VERY sad we have 8 more business days of worrying like this. Then have to worry about the November layoff. How can Karen expect anyone to live like this without getting sick?

Friday before labor day or the day after labor day . Historically they like to have layoffs for holidays.

It’s often done on Thursday or Friday , regardless of the company

You think it all goes down this Friday or is it the Friday before Labor Day?
