It seems like last time a major layoff occurred, all of the meetings were scheduled in the mornings. Everyone that I knew that got laid off. Had a meeting scheduled by like 9 AM. So it’s either been delayed, or the rumor isn’t as severe as people made it out to be.

At least 21 laid off at Optum health
Yes, a large chunk of my team with Optum Specialty Rx under Leeann Ferguson and Melissa Trevino was laid off this morning at 11am CST. Very heartbreaking. Apparently our PAFT department is dispersing and the rest of the ones who got to stay will be moving to the PBM side.
Just got out of a meeting and they confirmed layoffs. They "say" no future layoffs planned, which is what they said when OptumTech got their rounds of layoffs.
also Karthik (Chief Digital Svs Off) said this would be "it" for the year but we will see how true that is...
ok didn't learn too much from my meeting but I do know a few people (3) were laid off under Cindy Tam. They were notified this morning. No idea about last days/severance, etc.
OI Marketing impacted today...seemed to be both age and salary related...even though they would NEVER admit to it. Aware of at least a dozen out so far...
If you are under Alicyn Churchill for Optum Specialty be prepared to have a meeting with her and the Director of Pharmacy. Layoffs are happening all across Optum, company is downsizing. Start looking for work NOW.
Some under Julie Gustafson were left go but they would not say how many or who the unlucky ones are.
I'm usually getting bombarded with emails all day long. Nothing today. Eerily quiet.
Yes and we lost 10% of our Optum Consumer Office based team.
I have a calendar invite to a larger meeting with OptumRx employees at 1pm to discuss "updates". I was told personally that I am not effected but that these layoffs are impacting across the consumer department under Dirk McMahon/Terry Clark aka design/marketing/product/analytics/research etc. I dont know the % or # yet but maybe I will know more after 1pm EST. My boss is currently in a larger meeting about the layoffs right now.
Delayed for all departments? Or just some ? I want to stop worrying and find out.
Delayed meaning? Hours? Days? Weeks? You mean they were just notified a few hours later than expected?
Pushed it out a week. Layoff will happen next week.
There was a problem with time cards not reflecting pto accurately for exempt staff
Some have been given notice today with more notifications coming. Give them time to process. It wasn’t delayed.
All depends on when staff starts work. Most of the ones in my dept are usually around 10
Why would you think people who got laid off at 9am will be coming straight to here and posting about it? They will have better things to do. Let's wait until evening.
