Sandra Simms-Williams should go too. We are not sure how INCLUSION is really valued when the leaders are pursing so much EXCLUSION with layoffs.
Get rid of them
David is puppet in Elliot’s control. He is doing what is supposed and paid to do. Selling bullsh-t to the employees is part of his jib. Sometimes he is selling bullsh-t to Elliot too about revenues so end of day he is requested to cut as many (cost) salaries as the missing revenues (compared to targets). What else is not clear? Each time we are not meeting a target, now or in the future, consider there will be cuts equal to the missing money. Do not even elaborate too much in fact that reducing investing is impairing the company ability to produce future revenues … it’s not the case - once there a business case for doing extra money (real business case no bullsh-t) that can convince Ellitot we will hire workforce for that.
Sorry mates this is how it’s working.
I quit this m-f-king company a few days ago, they refused to give me a promotion and kept telling me that the company is in freezing period and they cannot do much about it. But, i saw from my linkedin that one of them got promoted with all this BS going on. So, it is is a complete lie and the senior leadership is pocketing the money and acting like they can give promotion/hike only if you lk their a. I checked the salaries of directors, VP and SVP in glassdoor and it is very unfair how much they get paid and the others are not compensated properly and they don't do sh**.
re:"The leaders that remain have bought into the new work culture and are telling people to leave if they don’t like it."
Leaders forget employee can retaliate in and out of the Nielsen.
I think everyone is realizing that Nielsen is going to do whatever they want. Threats of unions, walkouts, publishing town halls, dirty laundry, negative media have not stopped the layoffs.
The leaders that remain have bought into the new work culture and are telling people to leave if they don’t like it. The remaining leaders have become followers that spend their days in excel spreadsheets looking for perfection when what is needed is gumption to push back at the leadership board. Leaders should expect the minimum from the employees as they have been shown that being a top producer, accepting stretch goals and giving 150% mean nothing.
Fu-k these bi--hes. DK and KR should bloody resign. Their demise itself should help save millions!!!
GChat is horrible. But it is true that most people don't need the features of Slack. But there could have been far better solutions. An excellent example of how "leadership" failed.
Senior Leadership has lost the trust of the Nielsen employees but we should not forget that there are managers within the company that care about the employees.
Man, they seriously need to kick out all those top bosses for selling the company to Elliot and just being puppets. David and Karthik gotta go too. I mean, Karthik's decision to switch the company from Slack to Gchat to save 2 million bucks a year was so d-mb! It totally messed up how we connect with the team, and now we're losing out big time.
He Has Lost Employee Confidence and Trust. He Can Only Be An Effective Destructor Now.
