Does ”Centers of Excellence” refer to the programs Optum already runs like TRS?
I am (was) part of Patient Services through OptumRx Specialty side and the department is being absorbed by “Operations” as “part of their ‘Center of Excellence’ transition”. That’s all we were told in the brief less-than 10-minute meeting at 11AM this morning and were told to not return to work today or tomorrow but we can start up again on Monday…with the other people on the team who weren’t laid off but who know that we were. Like that won’t be awkward at all. Our supervisor claimed they were unaware of the change and claims to have “learned as you learned about it”.
What does transition to center of excellence mean?
I am so sorry to hear this. I work for OptumRx and was laid off. We just heard that it was due to 'cost cutting' measures. Do you know how many people have been laid off and was it mostly OptumRx (not OptumInsight or OptumHealth)?
