Thread regarding Broadcom Corp. layoffs

Field Sales Teams at BC

Heard a lot about engineering and dev ops… non customer facing roles.

Can any field sales reps (core or specialist) shed some light on their experiences?
Should we expect massive sales cuts in acquisition?
WFH?
Expense accounts for our customers?

Broadcom model isn't focused on acquiring new customers so a big focus is on adoption and deal renewal m, the latter involves squeezing your clients testicular parts to achieve a given uplift in account revenue. Their model is sticky products, squeeze, whilst at the same time deliver sensual pleasure of their decision to stay with you.

Other than that the other poster is spot on..

Using CA acquisition as a guide, 15% immediate staff cuts, 50% customer facing technical roles eventually.
WFH is possible, especially if you are not near an office, your manager has to explicitly assign that.
Travel can be expensed. Nothing else.
