Thread regarding Disney layoffs

Who releases a haunted house movie in July???

This is by far the best example of how this management is destroying Disney. Yes, I know the movie is a vehicle to promote our theme park, but it still makes no sense to release it outside of the Halloween season - even if Barbie was not part of the picture. It's like they're intentionally setting up movies for failure.

Doesn't matter when they released this. It's not very good. Looks like another dud. Another Disney Fail

Todays earnings cover tomorrows expenses. disney is desperate for cashflow sooner rather than later, even if it means taking a haircut.

Haunted Mansion with Eddy Murphy was released on November 26, 2003 which is a month AFTER Halloween, so what is your point?

Horror/scary movies always clean up at the box office and on streaming. It's pretty much the only genre that guarantees profit no matter how awful they are. I don't know if you did your homework but studios release horror content all year round.
