The auto dealers are hiding cars to create artificial scarcity

The auto dealers are hiding cars to create artificial scarcity.
People are starting to notice this and posting about it online... [1]

By hiding cars, they can tell the consumer, "inventory is tight right now, you can special order one and wait a few months or buy this car right here."
The car being pushed on the consumer will be undesirable and highly overpriced.
They walk you into the finance specialist's door and then you proceed to slow walk into he-l. Fees, add-ons, you name it, all at 11.25-22.4% interest!!! [2]
Those are June 2023 numbers. The Fed just raised interest rates again, so they will go up.

"The average price Americans paid for a new vehicle in June was $48,808." [3]
The optimum auto purchase: $48,808 at 11.25%, 6% (above 800 credit score) plus 6% Michigan Sales Tax, entered into an auto loan calculator is:
Monthly Pay: $1,199.13 [4]

Ask yourself how long this is going to go on.

Even though this article is about an F-150 Lightning EV, your future is tied to it. When EVs are widely adopted, people will feel burdened, betrayed and financially burned. This is 100% inevitable. The trolls complaining about the 2008 government loan can buy a Chinese car when the industry collapses and they better not complain when that's their only option.

"I hope the Chinese invade the US market and flood us with cheap vehicles"

GM is an evil company that doesn't give two sh--s about people or environment. They care about their profits and top leader bonuses only. If that means building less cars to inflate vehicle prices, they will do it.. I no longer trust GM and never buy a GM vehicle.. I will no longer support any American company that screws their people for their greed. I prefer to buy a foreign vehicle instead even if it is a north Korean. I hope the Chinese invade the US market and flood us with cheap vehicles so that GM goes bankrupt. Let that be a lesson to their greed.. They need to understand that with their greed, that created already resentment that will take it many decades to forget about.

The stockpile won't last long. It'll just mean the strike will have to be a little longer until it's gone and the shortages start.

Hopefully the workers saved their overtime pay from when they were making extra vehicles.

So the threat of strike means nothing because the potential strikers had to make extra vehicles to mitigate the effects of a strike. Seems like UAW strategy may be smoke and mirrors.

They are also stockpiling trucks in case of a UAW strike. 1500 series Silverado and Sierra units are jammed into vacant areas around the Fort Wayne assembly plant.

That and GM shuttered plants to create demand.
