Thread regarding Optum layoffs

HEDIS and Pharmacy took hits

I heard the Hedis and Pharmacy teams took hits and there is another round coming for the Hedis abstractors as all abstraction is going offshore. Has anyone else heard this?

Can confirm offshore is actively hiring for these positions.

Optum is offshoring and nearshoring as many positions as possible. US hiring for FTE and contractors is frozen. US contractors have to be cut at the end of their contract. IF workers are needed and it can be justified, they can ONLY be from Wiipro, the supplier of offshore temp contractors in India. Mexico and Philippines contractors can also be used for near-shoring but nobody US based, unless it's a C-Suite or super important high-level position....

Yes there was. Last meeting I was in with Leader Perkins there were indications of layoffs. And I felt I was listening to someone with Tourettes……kept using the word Syngeries in each sentence LOL
