Age discrimination

God forbid you hit 50 in this company. Every single layoff over the years has hit this age bracket hard.
I see it’s happening once again. No one will claim age discrimination…. It’s just another mass layoff where mysterious criteria are kept secret, only to torture the poor souls who try and make sense of it.

Thank you for the offer to share lawyer information. We're not in MA, so will look for a local one. It helps to have each other to talk to, compare notes about when we starting getting close to 50. One chap said it was title and job that changed a year before, and the lady on the team told us that her comp came to standstill once she was in the awful age band. The other two on the line had exactly the same thing happen to them. Then all got were told there position was being cut.

100% (no exception!) of us being laid off at this site are in that age bracket. Would be interesting to see the stats for other locations.
