Union bank as an organization no longer exists. This site should be dedicated to MUFG employees. How are your layoffs going MUFG team? Hearing of slow and steady cuts. The new executive from failed Silicon Valley bank is shaking up folks at MUFG. Good luck to those who got hired because of their friends in non strategic locations ( California) .
I think this bank is how corporate America works...Dog eat Dog . Let loyal good workers Go. to save the big boys...It is not a family bank like it says it is...No notice. Just your fired get out..Shame on U...U don't care about people...all u care about is money. Why spend money to build these fancy buildings in this down economy and then lay good honest people off ...U care for glamor ...not human beings trying raise a family in a down time.People beware of banks like this
Please give me a severance package! US bank didn’t have a position for me, this is a horrible way to treat dedicated employees. Not right! If there was no position, severance is the right thing to do!
Lots of rolling layoffs for UB between Sept and End of November. It’s been big.

Did they actually send out formal offer letters to Union Bank employees being retained? I haven't received one yet. Just emails indicating I'm being retained. Until I get something more concrete I wouldn't be surprised if I get a layoff notice at some point pretty soon, but who knows.
Some got offers but some laid off with really nice severance and 120 day notice. I think MUB employees mapped to US Bank got a better deal than those that stayed with MUFG. Significant merit increase from US Bank, plus bonus plus severance based on new salary (due to merit increase) and prorated bonus for 2023. I won’t share some additional perks that some others got. No complaints! What su-ked was working for MUFG and their stifling slow culture! Good riddance.
Anyone not placed in a role by Sept/ October even if tagged as retained should expect to be severed. Not fired but mass layoffs. They have already started.
I doubt it. I could see more being laid off but not all of them.
