I don't know many people who plan to stay at Optum more than they absolutely have to.

The future has been bleak for a very long time.
CEO & Non-Independent Director recently sold US$2.0m worth of stock
On the 19th of July, Andrew Witty sold around 4k shares on-market at roughly US$506 per share. This transaction amounted to 4.8% of their direct individual holding at the time of the trade.
In the last 3 months, they made an even bigger sale worth US$3.0m.
Andrew has been a net seller over the last 12 months, reducing personal holdings by US$5.0m.
It would be nice if they asked for volunteers to be severanced. Many of us would volunteer to help save the jobs of those who want, or need, to stay with Optum.
I hope I make it through this next RIF because of my health insurance. Come the end of the year I will be looking for a new employer. I’ve seen RIFs so much over the time I have worked here, and from my experience know it is not normal. It’s unhealthy to constantly have new management and never know if you are going to have a job. Production tanks when employees are uncertain. Why work hard when you don’t feel valued?
