Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

A drastic drop in standards

I don't know about you, but I'm still sometimes surprised by how incompetent people were hired to replace employees that every prosperous company would know how to value and try to keep for as long as possible.

These posts are lame if you don’t give any details about who. Give initials like we used to do a few years ago. If you can’t communicate simple points effectively then I’m think you are actually among the incompetents.

Some was about cost. Get rid of the older hire paid folks and replace with cheaper young people who most likely are looking to break into roles they weren't in before like an SE moving into a sales role or it was about cronyism, New Managers wanting to bring in their buddies from other companies like Palo Alto, or Dell so they can surround themselves with loyal minions.

They hire low cost no experienced people and expect those that have not left to train them.
