Thread regarding Phillips 66 layoffs

Is P66 rehiring old employees?

I’m asking about those who were laid off in one of the older layoff rounds from a few years ago. I’ve heard from a few people they’ve been applying for open positions and I would like to give it a go as well, but not if it’s not something that is even considered. Does anybody here know the answer to this?

They are rehiring employees. Grab a shovel and build the dam.

Why for the love of God would you want to come back to this sinking rudderless ship? Only reason I’m still here is I’m retiring end of Sept. Can’t come soon enough! Awful what clueless ELT have done to a once great company 😴

Yes people that resigned or were part of a RIF will be rehired, assuming you were a decent performer when you were here. With the exit of certain douchebags of late, it's gotten somewhat better

Zero downside other than working in an increasingly capricious, micromanaging environment...

How many rounds of layoffs were there?

Sure, why not. I know of multiple people who actually retire and come back as contractors. Not the exact same situation but see what happens. There’s zero downside.
