I mean, what kind of company decides to just layoff a bunch of people, doesn't really give more than a half a-s reason about organization decision, offers someone who has been almost 6 years ZERO severance, then after I received on unemployment payment, decides to dispute it, not for misconduct reasons, but for poor performance??!! 2 things, First, I have NEVER been put on any PIP and second, this is a b.s. reason to deny unemployment and nothing more than a ploy to delay hoping the employee gets frustrated and stops trying . The only valid reason unemployment can be denied is for employee misconduct. Should have jumped ship when I saw the Titanic hit the iceberg back in February, but that's what being loyal gets you in return. Leave while its on your terms if you can!!

Dish Senior Management and HR are certainly not employee advocates.
I've heard countless numbers of ex-Dish employees say the same thing that the company did not provide a justifiable reason for dismissal (at least in their view), no advance notice, no severance and that legitimate unemployment claims were almost immediately challenged by Dish.
The only solace I take is when it later gets turned around on those same individuals who then have to endure such poor treatment by Dish.
Case in point, the Boost Mobile HR Manager in Irvine, CA just got her walking papers after participating in layoff administration the last couple of years. Wish her the best, but you have to wonder what she's thinking right now.
Couldn't agree more. Happened to me after almost 6 years. I stuck around after seeing that Titanic hit the iceberg in February, only to be walked in out of the blue with some b.s. reason of todays my last day and refused to acknowledge a reason other than just an organizational decision. So zero severance, I get one week of unemployment, then guess what? Dish disputes it claiming I was termed for performance. 2 things. Unemployment can only be disputed on employer separation due to employee misconduct, so this is nothing more than Dish slow playing the process hoping people will give up. And second, I was never on any PIP and exceeded goals....???
