These cables have been around for 80+ years.

The risks of lead have actually been understood since the Roman empire, but let's be generous and say just 50 years.

50 years, a good chunk of which was tightly regulated. I am all but certain that at least one PUC meeting tacitly said "keep the cables and keep rates low" as opposed to "replace the lead cables and subscribers will pay a bit more." (P.S. downvotes here are from mo--ns)

Ed Markey has been floating around for 50 years too. And he is just now puffing his chest? He had plenty of chances to do some since the 70s; don't believe for one second he is the good guy.
