That's my personal opinion, that survays are just a waste of time.
Does anyone really think that they are interested in what we think in order to improve the workplace?
It's so naive to think that because they certainly don't care about it in the slightest.

'Companies use surveys to find out which employees are unhappy with their job so they can weed them out, that’s all. '
If you are unhappy why would you work there?
The surveys at my store was really terrible to the point the store manager started calling people in to have a talk. Smh the managers only worked for a week and now we right back where we started. Managers complain about the workload they do not do and stuff starts to pile back up again. I usually su-k it up and do it but now since I’m pregnant I can’t overdo it like I use 2.
The problem with the survey is people like you. The survey is to get a pulse of the entire company, not just one individual. If you use it to complain or to “get back” at macys, then it does become ineffective.
Same way with in store solutions… you all get reprimanded because of performance or behaviors, and you think its a get out of jail free card or a way to retaliate against your manager because you cannot accept your own poor performance
The survey is worthless. Means nothing. By the way it’s voluntary to take it…my store doesn’t tell you that.
Our store manager basically tells everyone it's a work order form for a/c and microwave so the dummies don't don't talk about what's really wrong (they of course follow suit and complain about a/c).
The survey is useless. I’ve never seen any change as a result of a survey. Companies use surveys to find out which employees are unhappy with their job so they can weed them out, that’s all. No survey is anonymous and employees shouldn’t be duped into taking one, dont let Macys fool you.
Like I did when I was an employee just be honest. Too many people just want to get it done and put higher ratings than they should. Most people I worked with were not happy towards the end of our time with MTech then the big Field Service layoff happened.
I didn’t do the survey. I feel like it’s more for minorities. Macy’s has a diversity goal they want to reach by 2025. It’s no secret they are hiring and promoting mainly minorities and lgbtq+. I’ve watched good workers get passed up for promotions simply because they’re the wrong color or straight. It has become a form of reverse discrimination.
No way to make your voice heard about anything, only freeform box is about "well-being". I took the survey and scored most everything low.
