Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

When and where is the next strike???

Union Square last November.
Harold Square recently.

Where would be next? And when will it be?

Love it when colleagues strike. Teach Macy’s a lesson. Bankrupt them with all these extra expenses to cover the store instead of just paying employees a fair wage!

Individual sales goals were eliminated. The only way people leave Macy’s is if they were fired by AP, quit, or job elimination. Where else can you be employed by hiding in the stock room or taking a 30 minute break that isn’t lunch?

A proper wage to some yes, thing is most come in to get money without actual work. Macy's so lax they doesn't fire people unless it's an LP offense. Don't risk striking honestly especially when you don't have many other skills to offer, they could literally close the store on you if it isn't profitable. Work with your PL see what you can do for yourself, if that doesn't cut it look elsewhere. Sometimes a voice of just one does more than picketing.

And when you bankrupt them they will close and nobody will have a job. Real bright.

Strike all you want. But the fact is, retailers just don't have the money they use to. Not many people are shopping for cloths. Not many people want to pay a high price for polyester and nylon, when they can buy similar items from Chinese online shopping company temu and shein with free shipping. The USA retail market is done.
