Contractors come to know about higher management decisions before fulltime employees. Some contractors are allowed to be rude with employees and boss them around. I was let go in 2022 because of ir difficulties with a contracting company in Europe.

Advance Auto Parts corporate is one of the most toxic places to work. I’ve watched them lose so many good people over the past couple of years. All work, both business and IT, is now shipped to India thanks to the CEO and CTO. Company made a huge mistake buying Carquest and have wasted tens of millions of dollars trying to integrate new tech with their outdated legacy systems. Definitely not a place you want to work!
