The middle man is disappearing one by one as you can now buy directly from China online shopping stores like Temu and Shein. As these Chinese online companies get more and more popular in USA, you're going to see store disappear one by one as well as heavy competition for Amazon and Walmart. Even Amazon and Walmart will not survive due to the dirt cheap prices on Temu and Shein. I agree the quality of Temu and Shein products does add up to the quality of products on Amazon and Walmart, but majority of the time people just want to use a product for a few time before getting ride of it. So they are willing to live with low quality for the low price.

Macys rebounded for a short time after the Covid shutdowns. But really I don’t see how they are profitable especially with slower traffic in the stores. Certain segments we’re doing well like luxury goods from Bloomingdale’s but not sure if that is still true. Big Ticket has had a really rough year so far. Really tired of hearing about Covid TBH
@1wki. Technically, Macy's is not profitable. Take an in depth look at the financials.
Covid actually helped Macy’s get back to profitability
This is old news. It's been going on for a long time.
You have nothing , you own nothing and you will be happy WEF ....
