It appears that the company's cost-cutting measures take precedence over avoiding employee layoffs. This recurring pattern of letting individuals go every pay Thursday is disheartening. Sysco needs to make a greater effort to explore alternative solutions and prioritize the well-being of its employees.

bye my friends I warned you - kevin keeps increasing his benefits
I don't even think it is cost cutting measures. So much bloat was added over the past few years with new executives, SVPs, VPs, EVPs and they each built out new teams like a retail organization. There was a hiring frenzy and everything has been so removed from the field. So now we miss earnings and oops, we need to layoff the teams. But not the executives. It is like the people running the business have no business sense.
Let’s go Kevin!!!!
We all should have known this was going to happen. Cheap labor and tremendous cost savings with healthcare and vacation, pension. Thank God, I can early retire. Let the job networking begin EVERYONE !!!!!
And now we get an announcement that they are opening more offices in Costa Rica??? Every job function at the home office was listed as being at Costa Rica office too? Writing on the wall….
