This company is flattering interns on LinkedIn while letting go of their best assets. EI can't feed the family, mortgage and feed the moral. Now struggling again to pass interviews to get a new job.

Stay tune for their financials!!!

One thing for sure, never set foot in this horrible company again.

I never applied to this company. Last year, the HR approached me and I was recruited after 3 round of interviews.
So I left my job and joined Ingram. My performance was great, my portfolio was at the top. And sadly I was laid off without justification. They did the batch layoffs after they were awarded The Top company to work....a GOOD JOKE!!!
It was devastating at the beginning....
I am positive and still believe the grass might be green elsewhere. Cross fingers!

Had a boss ask me directly, literally at least 3 times, when I thought I would retire. Pretty sure that's harrassment and not legal!?!?

Never been laid off before, they are saying that I have until Friday to incur expenses against all of my FSA contributions or I lose the money. That seems messed up. Is that the way it works for all of these situations? What if you have been saving up for a medical procedure scheduled for later in the year? This really messes things up.

Getting complimented while being fired feels…bad. The plus side is that looking at the market, one can now realize they were underpaid by literally 40% (on the low end).
As for hardships this causes: besides obvious impact on those laid off, their (ex)coworkers will be expected to work that much harder, for the same pay mind you, all while delivering a worse experience to their business partners. Keep an eye out for partner complaints.

If it's true that most of the people affected by the layoff were above 50. I would seek legal counsel immediately and collectively file a charge with the EEOC before suing the Company. The EEOC will investigate the allegations. Here are some starting points that will help your case.

Show that you are in the protected age class. ...
Prove that you were replaced by a significantly younger person. Check for title changes but the same responsibilities.
Prove that a policy was implemented that detrimentally impacted and/or targeted older workers. ...
Prove that at the time of the adverse action, you performed your job satisfactorily

Good Luck
Prove that younger employees of similar capabilities were treated better.

This company is a joke, worked for them over 10 years ago and even back then they could careless about their employees. Non-competitive wages, stale industry, not to mention a non-diversified upper management. Only people that stayed (as we call lifers) are the ones that survived through multiple layoffs and as you can imagine, complacency to the max and still think IM will take care of them because they survived previous rounds of workforce reduction. Most of the people in purchasing (now partner planning department) have this sad mentality and under estimate how disposable they truly are to IM.

Do yourself a favor, seek better opportunities out there while there's still relatively strength in the economy. Choose a company that value you as an employee and willing to invest in your career. IM will never appreciate you and will cut you to save a dime on their P&L, why would you want to work for a company like this?

For those still employed at Ingram; stop biting the mouth that feeds you. See beyond your usual perception of existence and recognize that change is required when your collective team is attempting to become the industry standard for platform relationship focus.

What regions are impacted?!
Did not hear anything. I’m working within EMEA

Seems a lot of good people were let go. People who made a difference in the company not just mid managers. They are preparing for an IPO. If it was truly Economic conditions? Why let go of people making their numbers? Also I have been hearing more and more about people in their 50’s and 60’s that were let go. Age discrimination is a very real thing within Ingram.

They nuked half of my team. No warnings, they're just gone. We are behind enough as it is, and now my team members will have to work twice as hard trying to catch up. I don't know what they were trying to accomplish here, but great freaking job IM.

Hi , internal source here.

its actually more than 10%.

Today i lost members from APAC region. the whole team. The whole department.
Lost members in EMEA region. also whole team and some whole department.
layoffs are not performance based. There are people who work less than a year and those who worked more than 5 year. There are those who did not perform and those that performed. I am devastated.

My team was reduced in half. This team cannot function any longer. We were already severely behind. Good luck on the Titanic or Ocean Gate?

Confirmed layoffs today of mostly managers. No communication to some teams, they were never informed their manager was laid off. They found out from checking their Teams status after one on one’s were missed. Ingram said the total number of layoffs will not be released, even though the previous layoff totals were released immediately.
