Time to move out the old guard and in with the new. Yes sir, time to shore up the replacements with training and wait 5+ years for them to get the experience and comfort level with the technology so that they can be at the same level that we are running off.
There some forward thinking for you.

I have more empathy for DACA recipients than those that are a part of the H1B scam to specifically replace American white collar workers. At least with Daca, the parent(s) came over fully expecting to take on work that most Americans were not remotely interested in doing. Quite frankly, the US is better off making economic deals with in our own hemisphere than the likes of India or China. At the very least, religious beliefs are more inline. Also, immigrants from Mexico, South America, and Europe are more interested in assimilating into American culture than people from a place further away.

DACA recipient gets laid off, probably to make way for a H1B worker, an offshore job, or the next lowest paid worker while the company's revenue, stock, and executive comp continues to rise. And the only reaction is "tears in eyes" and describing the past five years as "incredible."
