Manages closing at night

Question, does not our higher ups realize that a manager needs to be at store during the day to talk with vendors and deal with the normal everyday issues that make a store run smoothly and profitably.
After 6pm all that happens is recovering and closing registers down to get ready for next day.why do they insist that the most important person in the overall operation of their business work nights??

If they know they don’t care. I was surprised to see them cave to 7. That was a first for this regime. At the end of the day they will continue to squeeze everything they can out of us with less hours than we had in the past. We are the face of the fourth largest company in the world who operate with less hours than a gas station. There’s really no other way to put it. They haven’t care about us and the will continue not to.
