Chad Sakac's Question on the VMW valuation

From Chad Sakac's twitter feed:

Can someone provide clarification/explanation on this question?

I'm happy to see $VMW get the market recognition that they deserve (IMHO) - but I'm confused how the value can be greater than the proposed $AVGO buy price. Can someone smarter than me explain it?

Man I really disliked that guy, what a pontificator. Nothing like having to set the record straight in my accounts after he tweeted and/or was quoted saying some sm--k - his face melting BS.

And he was a “President” those titles at EMC were super inflated. He was at best Manager 2 material.

Wait until Dell and Silver Lake take their portion as 100% stock and leave all the regular employees with some RSUs to take the cash price, ensuring their place in the scümbag hall of fame.

Chad is obviously not the smartest tool in the shed if he doesn’t understand the transaction. As the sale is split between cash and AVGO stock the current VMW price is still lagging the valuation. I am estimating VMW stock is worth around mid $170s. So there is still about $20/share upside to go.

Don’t worry your port head about it, the little people will get screwed and the big wigs will reap all the benefits. Sit down and shut up, the big boys are playing here.
