A federal judge in North Carolina certified class action status in a lawsuit alleging OptumHealth Care Solutions conspired to use "dummy code" to make administrative fees appear to be billable medical charges.
The lawsuit, alleges Optum tricked plaintiff, other patients and their employers into paying administrative fees by disguising them as medical expenses. The lawsuit alleges the defendants violated the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.

The two classes certified by the judge could cover more than 87,000 health plan participants, according to court records

Ref: Post on AW previous "performance"/tenure was plastered all over the web. Yet, the "oversight" of this organization brought him onboard anyway.. What does it say ? Probably got hired over a handshake...Unlike the workers - background check dr-g screening, etc. Perhaps his MO aligned with all the oversight/Boards??

My chiropractor won’t take their healthcare. Too much of a hassle and super slow to get paid. I believe it after working for the company for several years.

You must not realize they bend the rules or break them completely for profits. When the punishment is millions…. To a billion dollar healthcare machine, that million dollar money is a fa-t in the wind.

After dealing with both UHG and Optum legal, this is expected. Its how far them and their high priced outside shysters can bend the rules and regs to suit them
