Thread regarding Shell Oil layoffs

Whats the chance for PIR> 100%?

Ranked middle. Easy to go beyond 100% PIR? Seems like going to be years before I get a JG promotion.

I generally was at the highest pir allowed, when ever they raised the pay ranges, I always got a big bonus that moved back up to the top of the grade level.

Moving from JG6 to JG3 in 8 years is very impressive. Would not expect to reach 100% PIR, since you'd be lower PIR with every promotion.

Middle "strong" performer could ultimately tap out around 108% PIR, and "Higher" around 113% PIR, without promotions.

A good refresher to determine your station at Shell is to read the Shell US Racial DEI plan. An excerpt: “…to hold ourselves accountable for developing and progressing Black and other People of Color…”. This was written during Reshape. Not sure how this line is legal, but it’s in the slide pack: “Improve representation of Black and POC talent across Shell US in Reshape.”

Been here 8 years, moved from JG6 to JG3. My performance has always been in the top 1-3 of my team, albeit never ranked as higher (don't get me started with that BS). I'm at 88% PIR, in JG 2.5 years. I've never been higher than 90% PIR in any JG.

I'm pretty sure that the only way to move up the range quickly is to secure a competing offer and be prepared to walk.

Shell's total cash is decent, but moving up the scale seems quite hard.
