The dead weight isn't just down at corporate. They have a excessive about of useless people in the stores too. Management , supervisors and employees.
The corporate dead weight in GE is astounding. The problem is that leadership will boot 300+ people one year, then turn around and hire 400 people to fill fluffy nonsense jobs the next. Ridiculously irresponsible by people that really don’t care about anyone but themselves. Today is July 31 and I’m sure leadership still hasn’t landed on a budget a full month into the new fiscal. Laughable incompetence. I remember when LK rolled out her Top 10 initiatives for the new fiscal. There were 17 items on the list. Just stupid. If you’re reading this and are a current GE TM - just leave. There are much better companies out there that pay better and treat you with human dignity. Good Luck!!
These layoffs are needed. Too much useless dead weight around this company in general. Hopefully they start laying off more people in the future.

There's plenty of room for mention of departments or titles... Just leaving out the names doesn't mean it's not true.
Then you are not giving details. You are talking in general. People who work at Giant Eagle or are contemplating accepting a job at Giant Eagle need to know facts, not general conversation. If you can't pin actions to a person as a fact, then you are just a rumor spreader stirring the pot.
