Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Overheard coworkers talking

Overheard some coworkers talking sh-t about a certain ethnic group that works in this company. Saying they need to get laid off, go back to their country, they are stealing jobs from us etc.
really broke my heart because my parents are Indian, though I was born here, I love my family culture.
For all the Indian folks out there - good luck! Stay strong against the discrimination, you are human and deserve no less than another human

Indians and Asians are gaining on Americans in our own workplace. They are passing Americans...just look at American test scores vs Asians and Indians. Face up to reality...get use to it. The party is over.

so, what I will say about this is that Indian managers tend to hire Indian workers, whether they're born here or hiring H1B or green card. I've seen US born college kids right out of school get overlooked by Indian managers so that they hire an Indian H1B. I've worked for Indian managers and have done interviews and have seen this first hand. So, the ethnic bashing is never right, but I can also see where it stems from. It's a form of ethic nepotism and if you want to see if it's true or not, just look at an org chart and see for yourself. I will say this, it is much more the case in tech than other areas.
